It is that time that recently we have been showing that any classic piece of literature can be 'improved' with the addition of zombies! Well, some people of low taste and trailer park backgrounds say they do not like zombies! Well there is no accounting for taste, but one must 'tastefully' serve the needs of the disadvantaged too, so here is a classy improvement on a beloved classic, without zombies.

Teasing? Me? Heaven forfend! I am just trying to fullfill the needs and interests of all. Even gutter snipe, lowest-common-denominator zombie hater types. Must find a way to raise their cultural conciousness somehow, else how will they ever gain the class to be able to appreciate the benifits zombies bring to any story?
ReplyDeleteAh! - It's true. We used to dream of living in a trailer park! We were culturally starved too - I admit it. We were bought up on trashy Dostoyevsky novels, Shakespeare soaps and Charles Dickens pulp fiction stories. One of the neighbours gave us an old tattered copy of an Archie comic once but that was as highbrow as we got. To be honest though - none of us ever looked at the pictures - we just read the words. I think all us kids used to have a secret hankering to, one day, go to Oxford or Cambridge and be able to wallow in the extensive Zombie collections contained in their august libraries.

ReplyDeleteTry to be better, to live up to a higher ideal! As for the libraries at Oxford and Cambridge, they do have the most extensive zombie catalogue, so yes! Yes! Aspire to such greatness!
Wade Davis the famous explorer and zombie hunter holds chairs on both college boards, and is probably why they have some of the best zombie catalogues out there.
