Strange Saturday Stuff

It is time for our weekend's dose of strangeness, and to kick off, what is stranger than another bizarro novel by the infinitely strange Carlton Mellick III. With a title like this one sports, I would think the mental imagery for most of the guys would be a bit fearsome. Well, if you read any of his other books, you know that won't put off the libido of his protagonists one bit. Or would that be several little bits?

And now, for the strangest un-strange stuff of our Saturday offering, the magazines! Sherman has set our way-back machine to the 1950's. We have mystics and UFOligists, weird tales and shamefully socially unacceptable sexual liasons of the 'greatest generation'. Who knew?

First, what we now make reality 'hunting' shows about, they relegated to magazine entertainment back in the day.

Next, Mother's across America dreamed and avidly read about illicit affairs and forced sexual liasons to spice up their lives.

Finally, they dreamed of the strange in escapist fantasies that took the mondacity and routine away for a short while and sent them to other spaces of the mind.

And so, this concludes this weeks Saturday voyage of the strange, we return you to your regularly scheduled programming.
