Hey everyone, today is the ol' TGIF! That day of the week that we all think about weekends, and with all the other things we plan for our two days is the relaxation of an occassional book. Well here is a couple to tide you over. First my little offering asks a burning question on every nerdette's mind. 'What do you do if the zombie apocalypse happens when you are attending a Star Trek fan con? My phasor is just plastic, and these uniforms show unsightly bulges that will just attract a zombies attention. What will I do? Well, in this book, you will see what someone did in just such a situation.

Our next selection is one of the most revered works of Americana, this classic is wholly politically incorrect in the modern world, but gives a viewpoint into a world that was, and hopefully will never be again. It is also a story about endurance, perseverance, and the nobility within the human spirit. The things we do to each other are unbelievably awful, and yet, they give the human spirit a chance to demonstrate it's highest moments of almost divine beauty. Oh, and it is also a crackin' good story too, that doesn't hurt a thing!

Great and fun classic from our own babalon this morning. While it may make your hackels rise from some of the insensitive and racist attitudes and the racial slurs expressed by some of the characters, it also paints a picture of the life of the times, and the horrors that accompany intolerance.
