Special #28

It is TGIF time! We have some weekend reading for you guys today, another two-fer thanks to our own babalon. First we have my offering for this special, it is considered one of the best horror books written in the early-mid eighties, with a lot of psychological drama worked in to it. What do you get if you take a man, chain him in your root cellar for decades, feeding him slop and stuff just enough to keep alive? Why the answer is obvious, you get the 'Beast Within,' what is not so obvious is what is the beast really?

Our second offering for today's special is a wonderfully edited version of a classic young adults book. In fact, it is the book that launched an entire series. Many hours were spent in teenagers lives across the world soaking up the fun and the suspense found in the Trixie Beldon books. A series akin to the Hardy Boys, or Nancy Drew, they were suspense novels that held generations enraptured. Here is the first Trixie Beldon book in a beautifully edited format for you or your children, or your grandchildren to enjoy again.

    Ok, the beast within was written during the 'great Stephan King slump', and was greatly praised as the next new horror story. Unfortunatly the writer never had another real big seller.

    Trixie Beldon was a staple for those young readers who loved youthful stories about a favorite character that they could identify with.
