Off The Wall #9

Ah-ha-ha! We are in the Off The Wall Zone, where nobody has control of your television, no one controls the vertical, or the horizontal, or any other dang thing. We're so out there that we are gone baby, splitsville, hasty vistas much ach ooo's!

We have some walls for you, as always, and then a collection of some of the funniest stuff ever recorded in America. First, the walls.

The first set I called humor:

Then we have walls in the catagory I think of as 'landscape'

Finally, the catagory of 'Sports':

Now for the humorous collection I promised, we have the 'Dr Demento 20th Anniversary Collection The Greatest Novelty Records of All Time' two disc album, which includes some of the absolutely most humorous and rib-tickling American humor ever recorded. This stuff pokes fun at the human condition, cultural norms, and just about anything is fair game for the humor found in these gems to be directed towards. Some of these have become cultural icons, played as standards for halloween, or thought of as the quintessential expression of the essence of a given subject or moment in history.

  2. Go ahead, tell me what great wallpapers, (that nobody will want) I have offered today! :)

As for the Doctor Demento album, well let's see, some of my favorites are, Junk Food Junkie, St George And The Dragonet, Dead Puppies, Der Fuehrers Face and of course, Ti Kwan Leep-Boot To The Head.

You haven't truly lived until you have heard Wet Dream, and for whatever reason, I personally think of There Coming To Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa! as a blues tune. (go figure)

  5. ROFL! The first picture is funnier than I though! It's a dog stuck in the door that had chased the cat. And the cat used it's tail to paint the face on the dog.

Geeze, I need a seeing-eye dog just to read something on the computer. :-P!

  9. Yeah, they were in a bayou plantation house and the slo-mo they used on the rabbits to make them seem large was laughable.

Monty Python's Holy Grail had a REAL killer bunnie, that thing was murder!

They had to use the holy handgrenade to get that one! :P

  10. I recall. Jennifer loves to rewatch that one every so often, usually skipping to those parts like that. :-)
